Today (Sunday March 12th) is our Annual Eucharistic Day. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament takes places after the 10:30 A.M. Mass and is exposed on the altar for all people to gather in prayer and devotion. Picture for a moment you are sitting with Jesus. What would you talk about? How would you act? During adoration, that is simply what we are doing: sitting with Jesus and talking with him – praying. It is a way for us to express our love, gratitude and reverence for Jesus, who is truly present in that consecrated host. It gives us an opportunity to listen to him speak to our hearts without all the hustle and bustle of a busy world. You could read some scriptures, say some prayers, sing a hymn, recite a rosary or simply sit in silence and feel the peace of Christ. It is truly a time of grace, healing, peace and spiritual growth. Whether you are here for a couple of hours or a few minutes, it can change and invigorate your lives, if you let Jesus in. Don’t let this opportunity pass you by. Give over to Jesus your problems, thank him for his blessings and walk away in peace.
