Dear Friends at OLV,
You absolutely overwhelmed me last Sunday as we shared the celebration of my Fiftieth Anniversary of Ordination. The two little words of thank you cannot come close to letting you know the gratitude and appreciation I feel for all who contributed to such an exciting and wonderful day.
I hope the liturgical celebration was as meaningful to you as it was to me, and pray the words I spoke touched your hearts knowing how I feel about the people of this parish, and all those who have been a part of my ministry. In gratitude, I thank all the ministers of the Mass, choirs, lector, servers, etc.
The hospitality afterwards was truly outstanding, gracious and inviting thanks to the Parish Council, Our Lady’s Guild, and the Youth Group. Every detail was considerate and thoughtful so that those who planned it (I believe with Sue’s hand involved ), allowed everyone, especially my out-of-town guests, feel welcome and at home. Added to this, the words spoken by Peter, Maureen, Deacon Len and Fr. Rich were so heartfelt.
I thank each and all of you from the bottom of my heart.
