Events

Wednesday evenings throughout the summer from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. for youth from 7th through 12th grade. We’ll have some food, discussions, games and fun. Come join us for a good time and a little learning as well.

Every Monday evening there will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Adoration from 5:30  to  6:30 pm in the Chapel. Take a few minutes from your busy schedules and pay a visit to Jesus. We have much to be thankful for.  This is a nice time to show that thanks. Confessions will also be held at this time.

Throughout the year, our parish offers a lot of different events and activities for our families and parishioners. The Events Committee coordinates all these activities to make sure all runs smoothly. Would you like to be a part of this committee? Some of our events run for a couple of years and then stops. New events are always discussed and implemented. Maybe you have a idea or two or would just like to be more active in the parish.

BINGO will be held on Wednesday, August 19th at Noon in our parish hall. Sponsored by Our Lady’s Guild, there will be ten games, prizes, refreshments and a lot of fun.

Have you ever thought about being a Eucharistic Minister in Church? If so, there will be a class to train new Eucharistic Ministers of Holy Communion on Tuesday, September 22nd at 7:00 pm. If you are interested in being a Eucharistic Minister, call Father Rich at the office or just come to the meeting. Ministers help distribute Holy Communion at Masses and some, if they are interested, take Communion to the home bound or hospital.

Every First Friday of the Month Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament takes place the First Friday of the month. Mass & Exposition starts at 8:00 am Chapel remains open for your personal, private prayer time with the Lord. A Holy Hour will begin at 11:00 am and conclude with Benediction.

Register online at www.BeACatholicMan.com For more information call 570-721-0872. “Be A Catholic Man” conference is set for October 10th from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm at Holy Redeemer High School, Wilkes-Barre. The conference features nationally known speakers and concludes with a Mass offered by Bishop Bambera. Cost of the conference is $30 ($40 if after Sept. 21st) and $15 for students.

Next Baptism Class is Sunday, October 11th at 1pm.. Parents planning a Baptism need to attend one of these bi-monthly classes before a baptism can be scheduled. Godparents are welcome to attend as well. Godparents will need a Sponsor Card from their respective parishes. Call the Church if you will be attending this session.
