As we gather on this Fathers Day Weekend, we honor our Dads. We remember those who have passed as we think of the many ways they have inspired us. We pray for those still with us, so that they guide their children. Here’s a prayer in their honor.
Heavenly Father,
As we celebrate this special day, we think of the gift that You have given us in the form of earthly fathers. What a blessing that fathers share such an important role and title that You are known by. And what a great example You set for fathers all around the world.
This Father’s Day, we want to lift up fathers to You in prayer. We thank You for their lives and for the unique role that You have given them to play in the lives of their children. May they experience Your joy, peace, wisdom, guidance, and love personally. Help them to bring up their children in the discipline of the Lord and to lead them in Your love.
As we pray for our Dads who are still with us, guide them in their actions of faith. And we remember and pray for our Dads who have passed that they share in the eternal peace of the Lord.
We pray all this through Christ our Lord.
