New Altar Servers
We’re starting a new class to train new altar servers. Boys and girls, of any grade but who have already received their 1st Holy Communion are eligible to become a server and help the priest at Mass. Call the office (570-629-4572) or sign the altar server sheet at the information booth.
Bishop’s Youth Award
Two of our high school seniors are receiving the Bishop’s Youth Awards this weekend at the Cathedral: Evan Schmidt and Isaiah Rodriguez. We congratulate them on this achievement and thank them for their work in the parish. Good job!
Memorial Scholarship
The Knights of Columbus, Council # 12114, is sponsoring a Memorial Scholarship of $500.00 to seniors from Our Lady of Victory Parish who will be attending college in the Fall. This scholarship is named after Father Henry E. Zapotocki for his dedication as a Knight, his work in the education system and his concern for our young people. Applications are available in the church office. But hurry, application deadline is April 1st.
Knights Of Columbus “C.O.A.L” Ticket Sales
Raffle tickets are available from any member of the Knights of Columbus or in the Church office. This is a national fund raiser to help support and fund the many charitable works done by the Knights. Tickets are $5.00 each with a top prize of $15,000.00. Purchase a few tickets, maybe win a prize or two, but more so, support the charitable work of this fraternal organization.
Annual Seder Supper
We are now taking reservations for our Annual Seder Supper to be held in our Hall on Monday, April 14th. The Seder is the sacred meal of the Passover and the meal from which ritual elements of our Mass are taken. We will hear the story of the Passover and bless the symbolic foods. Season Of Lent
SEASON OF LENT begins with Ash Wednesday, March 5th. Ashes will be distributed at two Masses: 8:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. and a two prayer services, 12:15 P.M. and 4:15 P.M. Stations of the Cross will be offered on Fridays at 12:15 P.M and again at 7:00 P.M. The Lenten Season gives us the opportunity to reflect on our faith lives. Senior Lunch Program
SENIOR LUNCH PROGRAM will be starting again in March. On Thursdays a lunch will be offered to our seniors. You drive up and we deliver to your car. A $2.00 offering is asked but not required. On the Sunday prior to the lunch, the menu will announced in the bulletin and through Flocknote. Then you need to call and order your lunch and it will be ready for pick up on Thursday.

Second Collection For Wildfire Victims
SECOND COLLECTION FOR WILDFIRE VICTIMS will be taken up next weekend (Jan 25/26) at all the Masses. Monies raised will be sent through Catholic Charities USA. All funds raised will go directly to local agencies in the affected areas who are offering emergency and long-term relief to those who have been displaced, or are suffering as a result of the wildfires.
