One of the best ways to get vocations is prayer. We take the opportunity to pray for someone who we think may be a good candidate for the priesthood or religious life. The Elijah Cup is that opportunity to pray for an increase of vocations. The cup is taken home after a weekend Mass. During the week, special prayers provided are offered so that someone thinking about a vocation, might take that next step. We need priests and sisters. Our…

The Knights of Columbus, Council # 12114, is sponsoring a Memorial Scholarship of $500.00 to High School Seniors from Our Lady of Victory Parish who will be attending college in the Fall. This scholarship is named after Father Henry E. Zapotocki for his dedication as a Knight, his work in the education system and his concern for our young people. Applications are available in the church office. Application deadline is April 1st.

Many people call or come to the office seeking a sponsor card from the Church. Sponsors, a Godparent for Baptism or a Sponsor for Confirmation, by Church law, are to be in good standing in the Church. That means they are registered in a parish, practicing their faith by weekly attendance at Mass and, if married, to have been married in the Church and themselves already confirmed. This is a Holy Day of Obligation but it also a day when we start a new year, making our resolutions and working to make things better in the new year ahead. Let us start this day and this year with Mass (Tuesday at 5:00 P.M. and Wednesday at 8:30 A.M. and 10:30 A.M.). CHILDREN’S NATIVITY PLAY takes place at the Christmas Family Mass on December 24th . If your child would like to take part in this special celebration, please fill out the form found at the Information Booth. Children are needed as angels, Joseph & Mary, shepherds, etc. as they are in the Gospel story. Participation will require attendance at two Saturday practices: December14th & 21st .

Our Lady’s Guild will once again having their famous Scone Kit sale! Orders will be taken from now until December 1st. You can order either Chocolate Chip, Raisin, Cranberry or all three. Kits are $5.00 each.Pick up will be Sunday, December 14th after the Masses. Order forms are available on the table in the Narthex.
