Today is the Feast of the Body & Blood of Christ, Corpus Christi. It is a special day in the life of the Church to remind us of the true and real presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. When we receive Holy Communion, we don’t receive a symbol of Christ but the Body and Blood of Jesus. As part of the Corpus Christi celebration, we will have Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament after the 10:30 A.M. Mass. The Church remains open all afternoon to spend some quiet, prayerful moments with Jesus. It’s a perfect day to bring the children (especially the First Holy Communion and Confirmation Classes) to Church to make a visit and offer a prayer. It’s never too early to teach our children about Jesus and how to pray. Teach them to feel and understand the peace of Christ in prayer.
Along with an open church, the following will also be going on:
1:00 P.M. Read Meditation on the Eucharist 2:00 P.M. Scriptural Rosary recited
3:00 P.M. Chaplet of Divine Mercy
4:00 P.M. Closing Prayers and Benediction
Come out, gathering as a parish family, in devotion to the Lord.
