Pope Francis: A Pope For The People

Pope Francis: A Pope For The People

It was in sadness last Monday when I heard the news that Pope Francis died. This past month was a difficult time for him as he was extremely sick and hurting. But despite all that he was going through, he continued to fulfill his call as the Holy Father. He made appearances when possible and even delivered a simple message when he was able. To me, he was a Pope for the people. He seemed to be so inclined to reach out to the poor, the needy, and the average street person. He washed the feet of prisoners. He visited residents in Nursing Homes. He walked the streets caring for people. He would instruct his priests to be out among their people, not just caring from a distance.

A special Mass will be offered for Pope Francis on Tuesday, May 6th at 7:00 P.M. Mark that date and plan to attend this Mass as we pray for the eternal repose of Pope Francis.

Eternal Rest grant unto him O Lord. May he rest in peace!
