Season of Lent 2021

Season of Lent 2021

We begin the season of Lent by repenting and turning back to the Lord with our whole heart. Many opportunities are offered during our Lenten journey to help us deepen our prayer life and strengthen our faith. Take advantage of one or all of these as we come closer to Jesus and thus come closer to His community of believers.

ASH WEDNESDAY: Ashes are a reminder of our mortality. Repent now and believe in the Gospel. Ashes are distributed at two Masses: 8:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. Also at two Prayer Services at Noon and 4:15 P.M.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS: Jesus carried the cross of our sinfulness. Every Friday at 7:00 P.M. you are invited to walk this journey of Calvary with the Lord. Come pray and thank the Lord for His forgiveness.

CONFESSIONS: “THE LIGHT IS ON FOR YOU” Every Monday during Lent, confessions are heard from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. Take this opportunity to be reconciled with the Lord in this Sacrament of peace. Our Parish Penance Service will be scheduled at a later date.

LENTEN MASS: Daily Mass, Monday through Saturday at 8:00 A.M. Every Wednesday evening at 7:00 P.M. an extra Mass is offered to give you the opportunity to receive the Eucharist, our spiritual food.

FAST & ABSTINENCE: Ash Wednesday and all Fridays of Lent are days of abstinence where no meat is to be eaten. Ash Wednesday & Good Friday are days of Fast when we sacrifice on how much we eat. One regular meal and two lesser meals is the norm.
