Today is the Feast of the Most Holy Trinity. Why is a Triune God so important to us. Maybe belief in a triune God changes everything for us. If our God is just a Deity out there who created the world, established some rules, and sat back until judgement day, then we’re all in a heap of trouble. But if God so loves the world that Jesus entered our lives and our predicaments, showed us one clear path through sin and death, and promised to be with us always to the end of time, then we have a reason to hope.
We are not alone in this world, abandoned beneath our broken relationships, bad choices, and regrets. God is here, present, active and powerful. If we want to listen to a voice of wisdom that will tell us the truth about ourselves, the world, and the way through it all, then that voice is talking to us now through Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
